This year Wireless Festival will electrify London for its twelfth year. It’s reputation as one of the Capital’s musical highlights has been hammered out by R&B royalty and DJ legends. Some of the biggest names in Pop and Urban music have come from all over the world to play Wireless, such as Jay-Z, Kanye West, Deadmau5, and Rihanna. Undisputed legends take Wireless seriously, and this year, so should you. London’s festival scene is growing bigger and bigger, but no other festival this summer offers such a range of prestige urban artists.
This year it’s Finsbury Park in North London that plays host to Wireless Festival, taking over from Hyde Park for the third year running. Following on from the mega success of 2015 which saw the likes of Drake, Avicii, David Guetta, and Nicki Minaj, Wireless is bringing some of the biggest names in pop and urban music to the Capital for an unforgettable weekend. Friday 8th sees house hero Calvin Harris performing with support from The 1975. A Friday day ticket starts from as little as £75.00.
On Saturday 9th Chase & Status take over the headline with Maverick Sabre, Craig David, and J. Cole representing a massive range of R&B, from garage to melodic rap. Closing things down on Sunday 10th is Kygo, Boy Better Know, Martin Garrix, and more. Tickets for Saturday or Sunday range between £85.00-£95.00, while a ticket for the whole weekend starts from just £198.00.
The atmosphere at Wireless yoyos from booming drum and bass to chilled out urban tunes. One minute you’ll be bouncing and the next you’ll be swaying. Wireless is a mixed bag of the best sorts of sounds that mainstream urban music has to offer. So why not indulge in a full-weekend of music in the Capital, and save with Megabus? With bus tickets from as little as £1.50, and our St. Pancras stop a mere 11-minute tube journey from Finsbury Park, this one’s a no-brainer.
